Email on your own domain
The domain is already yours and already in the price. Mailboxes on it are the one thing that is not, and they are the cheapest upgrade in how your business reads to somebody who has never met you.

What this does not cover
Stated plainly, so nobody finds out after paying.
- Writing your procedures. That is the actual work and it is yours — though I will quote it if you would rather it were mine.
- Custom themes or a bespoke layout built to a brand guide.
- Importing an existing wiki or a folder of documents. Every build starts empty; ask and I quote bringing it over.
- Training your team to write. I will set the structure up and show one person how it works.
Things I will do, quoted separately
- Bringing your old data over — Your new app arrives blank, and for most people that is the right way to start. If it is not — you have years of invoices, a real customer list, a library of course material — send me a sample and roughly how much there is, and I will quote moving it. It is usually less than people expect.
- Writing the words — Page copy, product descriptions, course material. I will tell you for nothing whether what you have is strong enough. Writing it from scratch is a separate job with a separate quote.
- Building something that is not there — A feature your business needs and the app does not have. Describe what should happen and I will tell you honestly whether it is an afternoon or a fortnight before either of us commits.
- More room — Storage, bandwidth, users or any other cap on your plan. Ask and I quote the difference. Nothing is rebuilt and there is never a second setup fee.
How your knowledge base gets built

You pay. I register the domain, deploy it, build the shelves and sections, and set the permissions.
Within 48 hours you are logged in, with a structure to write into rather than a blank page.
Before you order
Why not just use a shared folder of documents?
Because nobody finds anything in one. A folder gives you filenames; this gives you full-text search across every page and every attachment, a structure that survives a hundred articles, and a history of what changed. If you have twelve documents, a folder is fine. At fifty it stops being fine and everyone starts asking the same person instead.
Can customers read it, or only staff?
Either, and you decide per section rather than for the whole thing. Most people run internal procedures private and a customer-facing help section public, on the same site, with one search box for staff and a narrower one for everyone else.
Who is going to write it?
You are, and this is the honest bit — the software is the easy half. What actually works is writing the answer the next time somebody asks you a question you have answered before, rather than setting aside a week for it. Ten pages that people use beat two hundred nobody reads.
What if somebody deletes a page?
It is in the recycle bin, and before that it is in the version history, and behind both of those is a nightly backup kept 30 days. Tell me what it was called and roughly when, and it comes back.
Can I get everything out of it?
Any time. Pages export as PDF, Word or plain text individually, and a full export of the whole thing arrives within five business days of asking, at no cost.
